I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine - as two business women living and working in Disley we have regularly attended networking and women in business-type meetings together over the years and I had the pleasure of producing some commercial imagery for Sarah. Sarah has made some fabulous roman blinds for my home - I will post those images another time but for now wanted to bring your attention to a fabulous workshop that Sarah is running very soon! Sarah Sharp runs Pebble Blossom Interiors from the workshop at her home in Disley, Cheshire. In addition to providing a bespoke service to clients for soft furnishings, Sarah teaches others how to make their own. From Roman blinds to curtains and cushions, Sarah uses her teaching experience, gained as a Secondary School Teacher to convey her passion for interiors, fabrics and sewing. Sarah has had students from far and wide to learn to make home furnishings, with one student travelling from Canada to spend time in her workroom!
Roman Blind making is the most popular tuition day, with students being able to complete a blind in the day and take it home with them. They are a popular window treatment, with their clean lines and are perfect for places where space is at a premium. Creativity can help our feeling of well-being and making something yourself is a fantastic way to gain satisfaction and a real sense of achievement. Sarah likes students to have something they can go home with, and always ensures her workshops and tuition days allow students to leave not only with their new-found knowledge, but with a finished item, which they often like to show off to family and friends.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Sarah is running a special Roman Blind workshop day on 28th March from 10am -1pm. Book by Mother’s Day to receive a £5 discount on the usual rate of £55. All materials are provided for the day, as well as refreshments. During the workshop, you will learn how to measure a window, calculate fabric, where to position folds and make up a small sample blind to takehome. Detailed notes will be provided and a workshop certificate will be awarded to acknowledge your success on the day.
